LETS RUN

For me running began as a great way to get in shape after having the little ones. Unexpectedly, it brought a lot more to the table than smaller clothes. It gave me a new confidence, released new found endorphins and allowed solitude. I really didn't know people who ran and friends in my circle thought I was crazy. I loved it. I felt like a sunflower worshiping the sun(God). Have you heard of that? Sunflowers turn toward the sun in a fixed direction throughout the day. Lets be clear here, I am very new at running but I do have a few races under my belt. Running can inspire anyone to build a relationship with the asphalt and feel haute from the inside.

-Achieving a goal is one of my favorite aspects of this sport. Everybody should sign up and complete a race. If this is intimidating, signing up to raise funds for a cure and a community bigger than yourself is more rewarding than I can express. Sometimes an outward focus can bring on a new passion.
-Health. Are you in the best health of your life? Then run with the goal of even better health. If not, you can run your way towards it. An inexpensive and convenient way to shed some lb.'s. At my knowledge (I am a baby in this running world) I believe this is by far the cheapest way to lose weight. More on relationship with food later.
-Isolation. I do love a great song to pump up my speed and get a burst of energy. And I do am one social mama. Sometimes though, running can be used for serenity and peace. Listening to the birds and the sound of your feet is like a free therapist. I had a feeling to write this blog while running. Not caring about pace or time and letting the hard core part be free is well, FREE.
-Enjoy. When running becomes tedious or boring, don't quit, I've been there. Reevaluate. Change it up.
